Snowshoe trail Todtnauber Horn

This beautiful snowshoe trail starts at Radschert in Todtnauberg. The snowshoe trail runs almost parallel to the Horneradsch Scenic and Adventure Trail. The first few metres take you past the tennis court and up to the Horn hut. Here you are at the highest point of the trail and can enjoy the wonderful views over the Todtnauberg, to the snow-covered Todtnauer Hausberg Hasenhorn and into the Todtnau district of Schlechtnau. On a clear day you can see the Swiss Alps from here.

From here, the trail heads downhill for the next kilometre or so into the Holzschlagbachtal valley. First you cross the "Oberen Hornweg", then the "Unteren Hornweg". From there it is only a few hundred metres into the Holzschlagbachtal. Here you have the option of either walking down to Muggenbrunn on the left (return by bus to Todtnauberg) or taking the winter hiking trail 5 to Radschert on the right. Both are prepared winter hiking trails.

Snowshoe trails are specially marked trails off the beaten track through pristine winter landscapes. These routes can only be travelled with snowshoes. Safe walking in uneven terrain is a prerequisite!
