Snowshoeing is easy to learn and a sport for young and old. With snowshoes, hikers and nature lovers can enjoy the seemingly endless white splendor and shake off the daily grind and relax completely.

 

Small snowshoe trail

The Seebuck route is 3 kilometers long, there are 170 meters of ascent to overcome with a walking time of about 1.5 hours. The well-signposted small tour starts behind the House of Nature and leads up to the Seebuck summit. Here the trail branches off to the south and leads past the "Feldbergturm" down the southern slope to the Panoramaweg. Via this trail you come back to the "Haus der Natur". Please be careful not to step on the cross-country ski trail.

 

large snowshoe trail

The large Feldberg summit tour is 9 kilometers long, with altitude of 320 meters. The walking time is about 3.5 hours. The tour starts at the House of Nature and leads first up to the Seebuck summit, then down to the "Grüble" and climbs again towards the Mittelbuck. With sufficient distance to the Wechtenkante you will reach the highest of the four Feldberg peaks at 1,493 meters. At good weather, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view. From here you have the choice to go down to the St. Wilhelmer hut or a little shorter and southwest to the Todtnauer hut. The panoramic trail then leads you back to the House of Nature. Please be careful not to step on the cross-country ski trail.
